2019 Topic 20: A Bit of Sparkle
Hi everyone, it's Miriam with you today, and I'd like to share with you what, for me, is a celebration of sparkle.
Those
of you who know me will know that I only get the glitter and sparkle
out at Christmas. But wow, I fell in love with the sparkle of Wow
powders. Kay's stamps are just perfect for this.
I love using Alcohol Inks to make quick and easy backgrounds. Here I used Aqua and Cloudy Blue. With Kay's stencil PS118.
It took almost minutes to cover a background and create the first bit of sparkle on the panel.
I then sponged Versamark through a stencil and embossed these with White Wow embossing powder.
I also dragged a Versamark pad across the panel to create snow filled hills. I loved this. It created that bit more depth to the backgrounds.
The word 'Snow' from PS118 was embossing using a glitter embossing powder. I have never used one of these before but oh my! The shine and sparkle is amazing and no matter how many photographs I took, it didn't do this justice.
I stamped the snowman and used the co-ordinating stencil to colour it using Fresco Acrylic paints. Midnight, Tango, Red Lipstick, Cloud 9.
Cloud 9 gave the perfect snowman colour for me. Eclectica³ Kay Carley 31 (EKC31) and PaperArtsy Stencil 161 (PS161)

I really hope that I have encouraged you to have a go at creating a Bit of Sparkle yourselves. You may find that one particular type of glitter and embossing powder suits you the most, but I had great fun using different forms of powder and glitter.
Thank you for joining me this evening. Pop over to my blog to see how I created this card.
Happy crafting!
