Gorgeous Christmassy feel with lots of PA products to boot, Autumn knocks it out of the park with this amazing blending and layering of products which will please any vintage enthusiast! ~ Leandra

Hi everyone, it's Autumn Clark from SewPaperPaint with you today, and I'd like to share a few carefree, vintage-grungy makes to help inspire you in your Christmas card making.  

When I thought of the theme "A Vintage Christmas," I immediately thought of the vintage brown specks that transform every bottle of PaperArtsy Infusions into magic!  I knew right away I wanted to create a selection of papers to play with...

I chose a range of PaperArtsy Infusions to include A Bit Jaded, Royal Blood and Emerald Isle.  

I tinted a sheet of Heavyweight Smoothy Card with the various colors.  Next I picked a few colors of PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paints to coordinate: Midnight, Jade, Guacamole and Sage.

I picked out some very old scrapbook paper upon which to do my gel printing.  I love how the patterns show through the layers of paint.  Finally, I selected some Distress Inks and Oxides and made some inky embossing folder prints to add a little texture to my range of papers.

And the fun began...  I stamped the choice portions of my papers with images from PaperArtsy Hot Pick Xmas 07 (HPXM07), PaperArtsy Eclectica {Sara Naumann} Collection (ESN17) and PaperArtsy {Lynne Perrella} Collection (LPC018) and began layering until my heart was content.  

I did a lot of tearing and distressing and even went back over one layered card with one of my all time favorite stencils, PaperArtsy Stencil by Kay Carley (PS070), and a bit of crackle paste.

I added a few actual vintage bits, like old dictionary pages and postage stamps.

I wanted each card to feel like a bundle of vintage goods.  The old bakers twine always plays its roll in my designs.  And I felt the kraft card base aided in the Christmassy feel.  

I'm sure you have your own stash of old scrapbook papers that are begging to be transformed.  What better way to spend a cold November's day than to cozy up with your PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paints and a brayer?!  Get those creative wheels turning and pop out some layered Christmas cards of your own, won't you?
