2019 #15 Coral: Vintage Art Journal Page with Scrapcosy {by Josefine Fouarge}

2019 Topic 15: Coral

I love this spread that Josefine has created in her journal. The mix of paints and infusions, the texture through the stencil catching the products, the use of white space and the soft coral touches. It's perfect! ~ Leandra

Hi everyone, it's Josefine and I haven't created anything "messy" in way too long. So, I'm excited to be back on the PaperArtsy blog and share my latest art journal page with you.

Coral shades are my favorite. I love the vibrancy they add to any project. For this art journal page, I wanted to focus on Scottish Salmon and Peachy Keen, highlight these new, gorgeous colors and keep the rest in a more monochrome look.

When I work in my art journal, I tend to loose myself. Since this is what art is all about, I recorded my process, so it's easier to follow me while I worked through this page.

For the background I used Fresco Finish paints in Mud Splat (FF61), Stone (FF59), Eggshell (FF138)

Infusions in Golden Sands(CS05) and Black Knight (CS12)

The coral shades are Peachy Keen (FF157) and Scottish Salmon (FF158).

and the Scrapcosy stencil PS134

I love how the ship from the ESC11 set stands out on the page...

But at the same time merges with the vintage/ sepia background. As if the coral colors are made for vintage layouts.

The new Alison Bomber stamp set EAB12 fits perfectly with the sea themed Scrapcosy stamps.

This specific sentiment needed to stand out.

On a side note, please don't forget to clean your red rubber stamps immediately after you used them with paint. Once the paint dried, it's tough to get them clean.

I hope you enjoyed my art journal page and want to try out the new stamps and paints as well. Thanks for stopping by!
