2018 #1 ATCs with JoFY Sneak Peek {by Lauren Hatwell}

2018 Topic 1: ATC's

We are back with more ATC's for Topic 1 of 2018. Plus the added bonus is a few sneaky looks at new products we are on the cusp of releasing! We are all trying to stay calm here as it really is like Christmas all over! In this post, Lauren is sharing a few new JoFY minis, you would automatically assume they are background stamps, but Lauren figures out to make them front and centre too!

Hi everyone, it's Lauren Hatwell with you today, and I'd like to share with you a few sneak peeks from Jo's fabulous new collection of Mini's.

I love to contrast fairly plain backgrounds with my coloured images and layer them up. This is such an easy and effective way to build up texture and interest while still keeping the overall look clean and simple. This has the added advantage that the white space then draws your eye to those gorgeous focal images.

I can't show you the full stamp set images in this post, but I have given the codes for you. All will be revealed later this month when team PA hit the big Creativation craft trade show in the USA.

This is the perfect technique for those quicker projects. It took no time to make and it's so pretty. The green and white monochrome background using JM60 is the perfect foil for the little group of coloured elements from JM57. I know you shouldn't have favourites but these two stamps are way up on my list....

I love the natural texture of Grunge Paste so Jo's new smaller stencil,PM014 provided the perfect foil for these beautiful spikey flowers which I've pulled from JM62. I would love to use lots of those gorgeous flower layers and curl the petals to make a chrysanthemum type flower.

Those leaves are just the perfect size for an ATC aren't they! The Grunge Paste looks so pretty against the soft blue/green of the Antarctic Fresco Chalk Paint background here. Used straight from the jar and sanded back for a smooth finish; it provides such a lovely contrast to those beautiful flowers. LOVE those cute little scribble flowers from JM63. They would make really pretty snowflakes too I'm thinking.

This time I've used the whole stamp from the "spikey" flowers and used it as a monochrome background. I've layered JM61 over the top and then built up the details to add more interest and texture. What a great "one stop shop" stamp for cards, tags and ATC's. I really like the way they are framed. I think it would make a great shaker card if you cut out the middle and layered it onto acetate too!

I thoroughly enjoyed making my ATC's. The hardest thing was choosing from the stunning array of mini's and stencils for just three small projects. I've concentrated on quick and easy makes today and, if I'm honest, that's often hard for me. I do like to footle if I have the time. These beautiful JoFY mini's work so beautifully for quick and easy projects like those above but give me loads of scope for the more detailed projects I am often drawn to. You'll see in the coming days how beautifully they chime with Jo's larger stamps which are ALL on my wish list for 2018.
