Life is slowly getting back to normal here at HQ. The summer visitors have started to trickle in from New Zealand, and in between family and friends visiting, we have been getting ready for the Port Sunlight show run by Happy Stampers in Hulme Hall, this Saturday 10-4pm.
Port Sunlight is a delightful show, the organisers are very particular about how the stands are presented, and they always manage to have a wider variety of exhibitors than the other shows we exhibit at, which is wonderful!. The main point of difference at Port Sunny is that all the stands must have stamps on their stands from different companies, so each stand is differentiated from the others and there are always some really interesting companies who you may not have heard of before. I don't usually get a lot of time to look around, but if I were a stamping customer, I would very much enjoy a day at this show!
If you haven't pre-booked tickets, then its too late, everything is sold in advance by pre-order. There are strict number restrictions in the beautiful old hall for safety reasons, so if you haven't got a ticket, then you need to get your social media contacts in action to find out if you can blag a ticket from someone who planned to go but can't make it.
Samples: Using new JOFY 36 flower set, new JOFY chipboard shapes, Prima Graphite Texture Paste, Dreamweaver mica powders
This time we have a bigger stand than usual. We have been nagging for an extra couple of metres as its been a bit of a squeeze, so yay, we now have a much bigger stand, but we are still in the same spot. This means we are bringing a second demonstrator with us, {the lovely Sue Carrington, who has been a regular contributor on the PA blog for a few years now} and a Franich (grown up) munchkin {Miss Ella} to help customers and assist us to make build up and break down a less stressful experience!
Samples: Using Fresco Chalks Acrylics, New Prima Graphite Texture Paste, new 2015 Lin Brown flowers and birds stamp sets
The van is packed, I even got an hour to find my desk and have a quick play. But as it is election day here in the UK, I need to pop out to vote, and I still have to pack an overnight bag. No biggie, usually I am doing that at midnight! Feeling extremely organised!

There is a new blog topic this weekend, I have not had a chance to shoot a video, but the topic is one I know you will all be brimming with ideas for, so I don't think you will be at a loss without one!!
Have a lovely weekend, and if you are in the North West of England, we hope to see you on Saturday!

ReplyDeleteI managed to pick up a few items from you today. Didn't realise Mark had popped a free goodie bag in with my purchases until I got home. Thank you. I cannot wait to play with your new wax tissue paper. So glad you found a new supplier. Hope you had an enjoyable and profitable day. xx Annie P
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Leandra, Port Sunny is the best show for stampers with so much variety. Loved the stand & it's position and I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely demos from both you and Sue (she's a natural isn't she ;D). Gorgeous samples from you both and BTW I love your new hairstyle & colour. I've always wondered how you manage to have it looking so fab at shows when you have to get up so early, lol!
