"Hello there, yes it is me Clare back again for another semester as Guest designer! I'm delighted to have been asked back and look forward to sharing my new designs with you all. Right let's crack on with my first project this Christmas card".
It all starts with Smoothy White Stamping Card painted using Eggplant and some stamping using Ink and the Dog Xmas 1 set.
I painted a layer of Lake Wanaka over the whole card, then rubbed away some of the paint through this Mini Mosaic stencil.
Then came more stamping using both my new Nordic style stamps ECL02 and Xmas 1 to create a grid effect using Black Archival Ink.
I created my own little ink pad (craft foam) using Pearl Glaze and stamped using an image and sentiment from ECL02. It creates a lovely shimmery image which looks good on backgrounds.
Here is a close up shot of my card and as you will see I used the Ink and the Dog Xmas 1
stamps again to create a background effect for my card blank and also
for the border/embellishments which I then over stamped using my Nordic stamp set.
I
do hope this will inspire some of you to make a start on your Christmas
cards if you haven't already. You could soon run up a nice batch of
cards by creating this arty background on A4 smoothy card and then slicing it up with your paper trimmer. Stamp a quick sentiment and you are done!
I will be back again tomorrow night and brace yourself...I am doing some drawing again!!
