Hello everyone, it's Leandra here, and tonight we start a whole week of new product releases. Always an exciting time of the year for us here at HQ and the designers after months of secrecy and scheming!! We have a smattering of Christmas to come, but also plenty of stamps for year-round use, I'm sure you can't wait to see.
In the last few weeks we have been shipping out new products to our retailers all around the world in preparation for this week's releases. We, highly recommend that you go check out your favourite PaperArtsy stockist and support them with your business and get your hands on these new products ASAP.
First up his week we welcome back the lovely Sara Naumann. These stamps are very much in keeping with Sara's first release. Perfect for all kinds of mixed media situations, with these 4 new sets it's hard to pick a favourite! Journallers will squeal with delight I'm sure!
Check out the stamps, and then Sara has some projects with videos directly below for your enjoyment!

by Sara Naumann: Hope is a Waking Dream
"I like creating a lot of texture and dimension on my cards—but I’m actually kind of a minimalist when it comes to layout, so it can be a balancing act to incorporate all the cool paints and mediums without overwhelming the design. (Or creating a massively heavy card!)
But of course I cannot—simply cannot—resist Grunge Paste. This is the first time I’ve used it and I confess it’s sort of taken over my little studio. You can use it as is, but you can also color it with Fresco Finish paints, including my if-you-love-it-so-much-why-don’t-you-marry-it favorite, Mushroom.
You get texture, you get dimension, you get style—but you can still keep it pretty minimalist in terms of design. Here I’m using ESN10, which has lots of great texture designs plus a nice big quote so you can max up the backgrounds while still creating a bold focal design.

1. Use a stipple brush to swipe Lake Wanaka Fresco Finish around all four sides of a piece of kraft cardstock. Let dry. Use Jet Black Archival ink to stamp the script border from ESN10 along the left side.
(NB in the next 2 pictures Lake Wanaka is looking very green, the actual colour is much more blue as above - just in case you get a bit confused by the colour variations in my step-outs, let's just call it a stormy day below!)
2. Repeat the stipple brush painting with Lake Wanaka Fresco Finish on a piece of white cardstock.
3. Add a bit of Mushroom Fresco Finish paint to Grunge Paste and mix thoroughly. Use a palette knife to apply the mixture to the circles stamp and stamp in the top left and bottom right corners of the white cardstock. Let dry.
4. Repeat the process on a large base-card of Kraft; stamp the texture design from ESN10 with Mushroom Grunge Paste at the top and bottom corners of the kraft cardstock. Use the palette knife to add more painty Grunge Paste around the edges. Let dry by placing it on top of the Grunge Paste jar so the edges dry without sticking to anything.
5. Use Jet Black Archival to stamp the sentiment on white cardstock.
6. To assemble the card: Mat the stamped sentiment on black and adhere to the circle-stamped cardstock piece with foam tape. Mat on black card, then on the kraft paper piece. Mat on white, then black. Tie a knot in a piece of red gingham ribbon and wrap around the bottom corner. Mount onto the card front.

"It’s always fun to add a touch of sparkle and shine to your cards—and this technique makes it easy.

1. Brayer the card front with Spanish Mulberry Fresco Finish. While wet, sprinkle with gold glitter embossing powder. Tap off the excess and heat-set.
2. Squeeze Guacamole and Mermaid Fresco Finish paints onto the manila tag and brayer lightly to spread it, without over-blending. Let dry, then streak on Grunge Paste with a palette knife. You want it a bit textured but not too much so you can still stamp on it. Let dry.
3. Use a cosmetic wedge to apply Spanish Mulberry Fresco Finish onto the starburst and border stamps. Stamp onto the tag ESN09 images and immediately sprinkle with metallic gold embossing powder. Repeat with the spatter stamp. Tap off excess and heat-set.
4. Paint a sheet of book paper with Mushroom Fresco Finish. Let dry, then stamp the sentiment at the bottom with Jet Black Archival ink.
5. For the card assembly: Glue the tag to the book page, then mat on white cardstock. Wrap with sheer green ribbon and add a button. Glue to the card front.
"I hope you enjoyed the project as much as I did! Remember, you can see a video tutorial for this project on the PaperArtsy You Tube channel.
Thank you also to the fantastic Leandra and PaperArtsy for letting me share this project with you here!"

Thanks Sara, we love your videos and fabulous style! Thankyou!
We also asked previous Guest Designer Clare Lloyd to conjure up a few tricks with Sara's stamps. It's lovely to see a variety of ideas and colour. Take a look now!

My arty easel card was made by die cutting all the elements using Heavy Smoothy Card. I created shading and layers two ways. The first way was by using both Black Archival and Black Soot Distress ink using 3 or 4 generations from one ink up of each stamp.
The second was by stamping using Fresco paints and the colours I used were from the new limited addition set of JOFY colours. At every stage of the layering process I used one of the stamps from the new Sara Naumann 09 stamp set.
by Clare Lloyd: Positive Affirmation Tile
My 9 cm tile was made using Grey-White board. After painting the board with some Snowflake Fresco paint, I layered up some of the images from Sara’s new stamp set 10 and then played with Gloss Glaze, stamping and Fresco paints to create this glazed patterned background.
I used the Gloss Glaze as finishing coat on both the quote and embellishments so everything tied together.
by Clare Lloyd: Hanging Chunky Board
My mind edged towards a scene when I saw the wall within Sara’s wall image in stamp set 12. The hanging chunky board was painted using Iced Blue, Tinned Peas Fresco paint and I created grass like texture by mixing Tinned Peas and Grunge Paste together then applying to the board using a palette knife.
I used coordinating Archival Ink colours to add some soft detail to the background. The wall was painted first using a mix of Gloss Glaze, Chocolate Pudding and a touch of Slate (from JOFY Limited Edition (Set 2). Then I overstamped with the wall image using Potting Soil Archival Ink. I used a couple of elements from set ESN10 to make the flowers which were painted with Orchid and used the sunray image from set ESN09. The whole board was covered with a coat of Gloss Glaze to finish it off.
A massive thank you to Clare for her inspiration, and of course, huge congratulations to Sara on this wonderful release of 4 super stamp sets. I'm sure you guys can't wait to try them out yourselves!
We'll be back tomorrow with another new release and plenty of ideas to boot!
