"Hi there, Penny here again with Art Doll No 2.Tonight we are going green and a bit more 3-D. I hope you are enjoying the quirkyness of these mixed media art dolls".
If you don't have one of these you could just make a card stock cone and
glue in a circle
base, that would be perfectly strong enough. I used the large face image from LPC026
I stamped two images onto a Large Manila Tag #10 - the creamy colour and the
smooth
surface best show off the intricate detail of these stamps. I like to keep
the colouring delicate and minimalist.
See the picture for the cutting out it's too difficult to describe
I glued in real ribbon loops and added three pen nibs and assembled with
double sided
foam tape. Love it!
I stamped and coloured six plant stands from the same set, cut them out and
glued cocktail
sticks to the backs for dimension, before adding to the body. The feet are
wooden finials
(or small cotton reels would be good) painted with Fresco Limelight.
Lastly, the collar is the cut off bit of the third row of houses, and more
ribbon.
Such a lovely face. Bye bye for now, back for the last one (for this month) tomorrow evening.
~Penny~
Leandra Says: I love how you have cut the face stamp into 2 parts, and layered it with the ribbon, and it never ceases to amaze me how a stamp like the houses really comes to life with the addition of paint in a few co-ordinating colours! I really like this project , great jon again Penny.
Gillian Says: Wonderfully executed Penny. Love the added touches such as the ribbon loops. These collection of images are just perfect for that mixed media project.
