Flower Card {with JoFY Stamps by Jan McGregor}

Hi everyone I’m Jan and I am so thrilled to be asked by Paperartsy to join you this month. I have been card making for many years and have been influenced by many styles, I love CAS but very drawn to all things quirky! So the gorgeous JOFY Stamps are just my thing!

For my card I have used a stamp from the JOFY 23 set together with Paperartsy Fresco Finish paints, two from the usual range and two from a JOFY Limited edition set.

I cut a piece of watercolour paper and using Antarctic and Dusty Teal paints I just painted over mixing the two colours as I went to create a background.

Using Spanish Mulberry and Chalk paints and a ‘spotty stamp’ I lightly stamped at random around the edges of the paper to give a bit of dimension. Once the paint was dry I doodled a frame using black and white pens.

I stamped the Flower image from JoFY23 on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pens. I then trimmed the image leaving a small edge of white paper showing so the image ‘popped’ against the background. For the sentiment I stamped the sweet little tag that comes with the set, trimmed it out, stamped the sentiment and used a piece of twine to finish.

P.A Tip. our new Fibralo pens would be perfect for colouring these flower images.

I matted the background and attached to a card blank. I then added the image and tag using 3D pads letting the twine ‘do its own thing’ then I embellished with toning sequins and brushed the image with a little of Wink of Stella pen to add sparkle.

I am really pleased how my card turned out I love the fact that it’s still my CAS style with a wonderful bit of quirkiness!!
Thank you again to the lovely Paperartsy people for giving me the opportunity to share my card with you.
Happy Crafting!
Jan
