"Hi everyone, Gillian here with tonight's project using the lovely new Hot Pick designs, a little bit of crackle paste and some warm Fresco colours in the hope it might encourage the sun to shine {you can always live in hope!}"
I applied some Golden Crackle Paste through Mini Specimens 6x6 Crafters Worshop Stencil using a palette knife onto the Wooden Heart. Once dry I painted a base coat with Chalk Fresco Paint.
I then spritzed the wooden heart with diluted Fresco Paints from the Mini Spray Bottles in the following colours London Bus and Zesty Zing until I was happy with the colour graduation. dry thoroughly before going onto next step.
Next I stamped the swirls from EEV02 directly onto the wooden heart using Black Archival Ink.
I applied some Spanish Topaz Treasure Gold to the Crackle Paste Stencil.
Now to work on the smaller of the two Wooden Hearts. I applied some more Golden Crackle Paste this time applying a thicker layer as to create more texture. Once dry, I spritzed Tango and Zesty Zing.
I used the script stamp from HP1303 in Black Archival Ink to add some layering and then splats of diluted Snowflake.
Next I
stamped the butterfly image from HP1301 onto some Smoothy White Stamping Card which had been coloured using London Bus, Tango and Zesty Zing. I applied some twine to the centre of the butterfly before adhering to the smaller heart.
Stamp Live Work Create image from HP1301 onto left over Smoothy Card and then trim. Now it's time to adhere the smaller of the two hearts to the centre of the large heart. I then added the resin bird from Prima which I edged with some Spanish Topaz Treasure Gold.
And finally a close up of the textured bottom half of the heart ... love the colour and texture.
