GD: Clare Lloyd #3: An ATC Book

"Hello everyone, Clare back tonight with my final project for March. A JOFY inspired ATC book".

I made my ATCs using Heavy Weight Smoothy Card and painted them with a layer of Fresco Snowflake. Stamped both sides of the ATCs using Black Archival Ink and elements from JOFY Collection 10 and Collection 12.

I wanted to build contrast in the surface but needed to keep it smooth enough to stamp onto so mixed Snowflake and Gloss Glaze together. I went in with an extra squeeze of Gloss Glaze after mixing as I wanted some transparency through the opaque Snowflake.

This got applied onto the ATCs through a Mini Circle Grid stencil using palette knife no 2.

Ok, so my thought was I might heat emboss the image on top but that was a mistake as the glaze bubbled on the back and so to Plan B and 2 ATCs instead of 3!

I stamped onto my ATCs using Black Archival Ink instead. 

Right and so where was Plan B going to take me? I decided to create some papers to decorate my flowers. I squirted London Bus, Zesty Zing and Tango onto some Smoothy White Stamping card. Then scrapped over my palette knife no 2 to create some lovely vibrant papers. I also repeated the process using another colour palette Zesty Zing, Beach Hut and Limelight. All these paints are translucent which helps them layer up effectively.

I decided to blot off the excess paint rather than have raised levels which would make the stamping a bit uneven.

All my images where stamped and paper pieced onto the now 2 ATCs!

So reflecting on where Plan B was going I decided to add a few more stamping elements from JOFY Collection 10 and Collection 12 to my ATCs.

And added some stamped splodges around the edges using Mini 72 now that looks better!

I used some scrap stamping card to stamp up a quote from JOFY Collection 10 and added it to my ATCs using thin foam pads.

Now to make my ATC book. I clipped them all together in the right order and used a punch to make some holes. 

To bind my ATCs together I used Prima Vintage Trinket Jump Rings and then used some simple coordinating sewing threads to make a little tassel to add to my jump rings.
