"Hello everyone! Wow is this really my last week as a Guest Designer .... where has the weeks/months gone. Tonight I want to share with you a little altered project using one of the many Paper Substrates from PaperArtsy".
Let us begin. Take one pencil case.
Stencil said pencil case with
Grunge Paste using the Mini Cornflower Stencil.
I stencilled each cornflower separately and
let it dry to get the layout I wanted plus added some random stencilling from
the Mini Chicken Wire (reversed) Stencil.
I used the following Fresco Paints.
I painted the box inside and out
with Nougat.
Then added very thin layer of Crackle Glaze randomly
on the lid and once fully dry painted over the whole project with Bora Bora .
An alternative idea at this stage could be.
I then dry brushed the
stencilled areas with South Pacific and Baltic Blue. As I’ve previously mentioned, with dry
brushing – less is more. At first it
doesn’t look as if anything is happening but if you keep gently brushing you
will see the depth build.
Now perhaps you’re wondering what you could use it for? Your shrink plastic bracelet of course! Lol!!
Leandra Says: Oh such a cool gift box!! Love both decoration ideas for the top! Anyone would be thrilled to receive that ! Great idea!
Gillian Says: Aha so that's what you had planned for said SP bracelet! The transformation from a plain boring old pencil case into a beautiful bracelet case looks great Carol, love the texture detail from that particular stencil and of course the Grunge Paste. Fab!
Don't forget that if you want to join Carol in this week's challenge, then please why not have a go re-creating, or twisting-any-idea Carol has presented this week, and link your creativity here. Winners get to choose an A5 stamp set from PaperArtsy of their choice. We love to see how our designers inspire you! So please, feel free to join the fun!
