Joanne Wardle {Special 10th birthday Post}

... A {10th Birthday} Project from Joanne

Tonight we welcome the lovely Joanne Wardle back into the fold.

Joanne has actually been a DT member for PaperArtsy for several years. And many of you will have seen regular contributions from her in Craft Stamper Magazine.

Her style is always minimalist, simple and high impact. She catches my eye because this style isn't often paired with the genre PaperArtsy sits in, but her use of colour and technique fascinates me. I hope you enjoy her special birthday contribution tonight!
'I was actually inspired to make this card by some some small rectangles of card that I found on my desk while I was clearing it. I only really do Clean and Simple cards but I do like grungy look background papers in small amounts on my cards.'

I decided to make my own small grungy background and randomly picked a few suitable stamps.

I stamped these with two colours of distress ink and inked the edges up with the same ink.

I then stamped the moth from HP1004 onto another piece of the white card and inked the edges of this.

To make the ribbon corner I knotted a short scrap of ribbon and attached it to the card with sticky tape.

The card was finished by mounting the pieces of card as shown. A quick card for any occasion.

It's been great fun to be a part of the PaperArtsy Birthday celebrations. I hope you have enjoyed tonight's project.

Leandra Says:Like you say, quick, easy, but oh so elegant! And suitable for any occasion! Thankyou for being part of the celebrations this month Joanne!

Gillian Says:I admire your "quick easy clean" skills Joanne, something I really struggle with. Perfect card for any occassion. Thank you for joining in the birthday celebrations.
