2019 Topic 18: Shaving Foam
Part 2 from Miriam with this post today, and Miriam has used the same method from some christmas baubles. ~Leandra
Hi everyone, it's Miriam with
you again today, and I'd like to share with you a second project that I
have created using the fabulous shaving foam technique. This is a
follow on from the project that I shared yesterday.
I
had so much fun with this project, and my shaving foam still looked
like it had loads of use left, and so I decided to create some Christmas
baubles using this technique which will compliment the calendar that I
shared yesterday.
Here are my baubles.
Here are my baubles.
I
used the same technique for these baubles as I did for the countdown
calendar I shared with you yesterday. The paints are all new colours to
PaperArtsy...
I
have used the new Sara Naumann stamps for my baubles. I simply love
these collaged stamps - they are elegant and detailed and can be used in
clean cards as well as grungy cards.
I made sure that I decorated the back of the baubles, and even coloured the ribbon using complimenting paint.
I
stepped up my confidence in this project though. After scraping the
excess foam off the bauble substrates I dipped the baubles in again to
add more pattern. I loved doing this.
I love the contrast of the silver embossing on the Blue Fresco paints.
For
what I would consider a fairly 'clean' look, I love the depth and
detail that this technique creates. And further more, no two 'pulls' of
the foam are the same.
Sara's stamps compliment this technique so well. I could not get enough of this release.
I have so many more ideas for the shaving foam technique. And every time I use it I think of different ways to adapt it. I really hope that I have inspired you to have a go of this technique. It is so much fun and I hope that I have proved that you don't have to be 'messy'!
Thanks for joining me this evening. I hope you enjoy the rest of the projects and inspiration.
Do pop over to my blog to have a closer look at these baubles.
