GD: Kate Yetter Project #3 Altered Journal {Part 3}

"Hello everyone, Kate here with my final project of the week ... wow where has the time gone! Tonight I'm concentrating on the inside pages for this altered chipboard journal".

I started out with a sheet of white cardstock that I cut to fit my book. I used my Bind It All to punch the holes. I cut a sheet of Chatsworth paper to fit the center, leaving a white border around the edge.

I cut various strips of the Chatsworth paper and glued them down on the background.

I chose Toffee, Guacamole and Sage Fresco Finish Paints and some gesso to spread all over my background with a palette knife.

I used dark brown and teal ink spray to create drips over my background.

I stamped the background with the newspaper ad stamp from HP1108.

I started layering my stamped images and embellishments around my photograph.

Last minute touches…gesso with a palette knife.

I'm really pleased with the composition of this page, I hope you have been inspired to have a go also. I look forward to seeing you all again next month.

~Kate~

Leandra Says: Superb layering, doesn't those Chatsworth papers lend themselves to any project. Thanks for a brill week Kate.
